Cash check at bank, do I need more than a drivers license?

Check made out to me on a Wamu check. Went to Wamu with my drivers license to cash it. They said I needed two forms of ID, not just my license.
In California isn’t a photo drivers license enough?

No problem. Get the list of acceptible forms of ID. Maybe your Social Security card would be a viable second ID form. or a student ID. Get the list and cash your check.
