Where is my passport?
So I applied for my passport over two weeks ago. I know it can be here anywhere between yesterday and the 18th…so why am I worried??? Well that would be because they don’t even show my application in their system at all when I go to check it online. I know they have received it in the processing center b/c my bank statement shows the check was cashed in New Orleans…which is where our regional processing center is. I’m just concerned that they have lost it or something, since it’s not in the system. I may not physically have it, but certainly they have received it so it should be showing up. Any advice from others who have used their online status check? THANKS!
Just because it doesn’t show up online doesn’t mean it’s not being processed. The real reason is probably that many AmeriKans have suddenly realized they MUST have a passport to re-enter the U.S. AFTER JUNE 1st, and the passport agency is overloaded right now.
